our ruler and lawgiver,
the expectation and savior of the nations:
Come and set us free, O Lord our God.

and ransom captive Israel,

until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
This is one of my favorite songs. I didn’t get a chance to lead the song at church this Christmas season, but I can always do it on my own.
